Included at every tier
What every Makerstead subscription ships.
The same backbone sits under all three tiers — the difference is capacity, the number of category templates, and the size of the export.
Plan limits — honest about scope
What each tier ships, and what it doesn't.
The numbers below are enforced in product today. Items that aren't enforced yet aren't listed — we won't promise soft caps we don't code. Storage, reminder cadence, and monthly customer-message volume live under the fair-use policy.
Solo · $19/mo during Founders Discount: $13/mo
- Makerstead account
- One sign-up — the owner can add staff via the team page; see the terms.
- Published care pages
- Up to 10 — drafts and archived records don’t count
- Customer-facing pages
- Each care page has its own QR code (2"×2" printable)
Growing · $39/mo during Founders Discount: $27/mo
- Makerstead account
- One sign-up — the owner can add staff via the team page; see the terms.
- Published care pages
- Up to 50 — drafts and archived records don’t count
- Customer-facing pages
- Each care page has its own QR code, swap category templates freely
Professional · $79/mo during Founders Discount: $55/mo
- Makerstead account
- One sign-up — the owner can add staff via the team page; see the terms (bulk export done by the maker).
- Published care pages
- Unlimited under fair-use — see fair-use policy
- Customer-facing pages
- Per-page QR codes plus a bulk QR export for the whole bench
Drafts and archived records do not count toward a tier's published-page limit. Restoring an archived record requires an available slot. Deleting a record is not required merely to free a slot — archive it, restore later. The fair-use policy defines the published limits on file size, account storage, monthly reminder volume, monthly customer-message volume, automated use, and malware handling.
Billing · cancellation · your data
The fine print, plainly.
The same rules that govern a Makerstead subscription, in plain language. Read this before you post your first care page.
- Recurring monthly subscription
- Every plan is billed monthly through Stripe. There is no pay-once or lifetime option. You will be charged the listed rate each month until you cancel.
- Founders Discount — 30% off, locked in for the lifetime of your subscription
- During the first 90 days of /pricing going live, every catalog tier ships at a 30%-off rate. Sign up inside that window and the discount locks in to your subscription; every Stripe renewal keeps the discount while your subscription stays active. After the window closes, new signups pay the standard posted rate.
- Cancellation
- Cancel from the Stripe dashboard at any time. Subscription access continues through the end of the current billing period. After that, you enter a 90-day grace window — your published care pages remain publicly readable, but no new records can be published. Past the grace window, the plan is fully lapsed.
- Approval before publish
- A new maker starts in pending status. A one-time maker review runs first; then each care page you publish goes through a single per-piece review before its QR goes live. While you are filling the bench in pending mode, your work stays private — no care page is publicly readable until its review clears.
- Reactivation
- If you come back within 90 days, your published records reappear at no extra cost, and any locked-in Founders Discount resumes with you. If you come back past the 90-day grace window, the reactivation fee is the current posted standard price for the tier you rejoin on.
- Your data after cancellation
- While you're subscribed, your care pages, service histories, and stored photos stay on your bench and export as standard formats. You can also export any time after cancellation — including past the 90-day grace window.
- Ownership transfers and re-delivery
- When a record changes hands, the transfer is logged as an immutable row on the bench — originating product, from-owner and to-owner timestamps, the maker's note — with a reversal link so each transfer can be undone without overwriting history. The maker never sees a Makerstead-hosted inbox to clear; the inquiry gets emailed to the business at the maker's profile contact email (or to the company fallback if the maker didn't set one), and replies happen through your normal business systems. The only Makerstead-mediated outbound is the optional Send quote button on the care-request detail page, which emails a quote straight to the customer. Makerstead hosts the data as a steward on your behalf; it does not broker the message.
